Introduction

Bonjour, my name is Brian Oblitey and I am 16 years old. I live in a tranquil town called Kettering, situated in the Northants. I was originally born in Corbeil-Essonnes, a city near Paris, in France. Media was an obvious choice for my A-Levels purely because I am really interested in film-making and everything that has to do with television, such as music. I am highly looking forward to this course, because it is a brand-new subject/area for me to test and expand my knowledge on. This is how I use media daily:

Phone: I use my phone every day and use it for different services such as calling, browsing, listening to music. I also might use it for games.

Television: I watch television daily to get information but also to be entertained. My favourite shows vary from documentaries to music channels.

Radio: I rarely listen to the radio. But when I do, I usually listen to music stations. I would sometimes listen to the radio with my phone on long car journeys.

Newspapers/Magazines: I occasionally read magazines. When I do, it's to get information about what is happening in the UK and the rest of the world.

Internet: I often use the internet for social networks such as Twitter and Facebook. I use it to keep in touch with my friends abroad and to follow my favourite celebrities' activities. I would also use the Internet to watch videos on Youtube, often music videos, and to visit pages such as Wikipedia, to find out about certain things.

  1. Quite an net resting post which could have been made more engaging through the inclusion of hyperlinks and images. You have made a good start to the course and I am pleased with your progress so far.
